The Gwinnett County Region has been active since 2003, with more than 80 churches partnering to pursue Unite!'s three Impact Areas. There is a strong Leadership Team which meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month, and determines the topics and timing of Unite! Roundtable Discussions (usually one per Quarter) which are designed for pastors and church leaders, to focus on specific efforts of a given Impact Area.

NEW!! Unite! Gwinnett Pastor's Monthly Luncheon is launching
We're kicking off 2012 with a fresh, new opportunity for pastors to connect, build relationship, find encouragement, receive prayer, and share ideas for ministry, and we hope you'll join us!
WHEN: Thursday, Feb 16 (11:00 - 12:30 pm) / Stay till 1pm for a tour of the church (optional)
WHERE: Korean Community Presbyterian Church (2534 Duluth Hwy, Duluth 30097)

(meeting is not open to Ministry Partners/Organizations unless specificly invited by Unite! organizers)

WHAT TO EXPECT...
The Unite! Gwinnett Pastor's Monthly Luncheon will be one that pastors will feel very comfortable attending and inviting other pastors to attend with you. This monthly lunch will be focused on relationship building, sharing Kingdom building ideas, prayer, and encouragement.
We'll meet each month, on location, at a different Unite! church. This will help us get to know each of our ministries better and will offer an opportunity to gather and glean ideas and resources from each other's churches.
This gathering will be from 11am-12:30pm (with an option to stay until 1pm for a tour and ministry overview provided by the host church). We'll meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
A high value goal for each of these meetings will be for every person to connect with 1-2 others who they will get together with before the next meeting. It's our hope that this activity will develop, deepen, and strengthen relationships.
As a way of helping pastors connect by geography, we'll provide an easy opportunity for pastors to sit with each other based on georgraphy (i.e. Lawrenceville, Norcross, Duluth, Suwanee, Buford, etc.) and the discussion around each table will center around the issues, needs, and happenings in that particular community.

Church Partnership Opportunities with Sylvan Learning Center’s After School Tutoring
Sylvan Learning Center is looking to partner with churches that are willing to provide space in their facilities for after school tutoring. Sylvan will offer opportunities for volunteers to get involved, and they’ll offer free tutoring to a limited number of students.
