Regions > Gwinnett

The Gwinnett County Region has been active since 2003, with more than 80 churches partnering to pursue Unite!'s three Impact Areas.  There is a strong Leadership Team which meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month, and determines the topics and timing of Unite! Roundtable Discussions (usually one per Quarter) which are designed for pastors and church leaders, to focus on specific efforts of a given Impact Area.

Unite! Gwinnett Pastor's Monthly Gathering

You can still Meet The Need - even if you missed the April lunch
We had a great lunch gathering in April to discuss Meet The Need - an organization that can help your church and your ministry partners get the word out on serving needs via your church website.  If you missed the lunch and would like to learn more, please contact Shawn Janes (shawn.janes@12stone.com) or Debra Potter (debrap@perimeter.org) for more information.

Helping.... It's All About Relationships...
Gwinnett's Principals and teachers are requesting help from the community to provide caring adult relationships for at risk children in our public schools!  Churches are positioned and equipped to help meet this need.  Join us to learn about the many opportunities for partnering with our local schools to support and encourage our educators and students.

This month's Unite luncheon will focus on EDUCATION and will feature James Rayford, Director of Academic Support for Gwinnett County Public Schools.  James will be updating us on the growing momentum in mentoring in our county and will share the exciting variety of opportunities for community and church volunteers to serve as mentors in our local public schools.

Special guests will also be Dr. Beverly Smith, Principal of Peachtree Elementary in Norcross and Drew Peirce, VP of New Partnerships for Kids Hope USA.  Dr. Smith will be sharing with us about Peachtree Elementary's experience thus far with their Kids Hope USA partnership with Perimeter Church and Peachtree Corners Presbyterian.  Drew will give us updates regarding the Kids Hope USA growth in Atlanta, and will be available for Q&A for prospective churches.

More info on Kids Hope USA:
