Regions > Gwinnett

The Gwinnett County Region has been active since 2003, with more than 80 churches partnering to pursue Unite!'s three Impact Areas.  There is a strong Leadership Team which meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month, and determines the topics and timing of Unite! Roundtable Discussions (usually one per Quarter) which are designed for pastors and church leaders, to focus on specific efforts of a given Impact Area.

> Unite! Gwinnett Pastor's Monthly Gathering -

From its beginning Unite has been about building relationships…relationships among church pastors, church leaders, their congregations, and others in the community. Not just relationships with those that are the same as us, but also those different from us – across ethnicities, cultural background, denominations, worship styles, etc  -  all under the banner of Jesus. It has been a cross-cultural movement from the beginning! Redemptive Unity (including Racial Reconciliation) is one of our Values.

This is why we are excited about a movement called One Race that has birthed in Atlanta. Through prayer and fasting, relationship and collaboration, One Race exists to release a movement of racial reconciliation across Atlanta, the Southeast, and the nation. Currently there are cross cultural prayer groups across metro Atlanta meeting monthly, and it all culminates with a catalytic event this August at Stone Mountain, where they hope to have 300 pastors and 30,000 believers united for prayer and racial reconciliation.

We are dedicating our Unite lunch meeting in May to focus on One Race.  Please join us on Thursday, May 17th, 11:30am-1:00pm at Perimeter Church (Fellowship Hall) in Johns Creek to learn more about the movement and how you and your church can become involved. RSVP anytime from now through Tuesday, May 15th to reserve your spot.

A Church-Centered Response toThe Global Refugee Crisis - The global refugee crisis has reached unprecedented levels and we believe the Church needs to be at the center of the solution to this crisis. Many refugees are here in metro Atlanta and our local churches have an opportunity to be a part of helping in partnership with World Relief. Support Missions - Drink Phoenix Community Coffee - Unite! Leadership really wants to encourage you to check out Phoenix Community Coffee, the missional finance generating arm of Phoenix Community church (in Duluth).  Pastor Brian Holland, and Phoenix Communty Church, have the goal of giving 100% of their income away to people in greater need, both in the community and around the world.  They started Phoenix Community Coffee to do just that.  Plus, your church can partner with Phoenix Community Coffee to fundraise for your missions partners, too!  Ask Brian to give you a "show and tell tour" of their coffee roasting warehouse and church or go online and check it out at www.phoenixcommunitycoffee.com.
